Paragon Acquires Reddit Token $RDDT with 577 HYPE

Paragon has purchased the Reddit token $RDDT, which shares the same name as Reddit stock, using 577.66 HYPE. The acquisition amounts to approximately $30,000 (around 42 million KRW). The on-chain monitoring account Hyperliquid News disclosed this purchase on the 2nd. The exact timing of the transaction and network information have not been confirmed. While $RDDT is listed under the ticker RDDT on the New York Stock Exchange, it remains unclear whether this token is based on actual Reddit shares. The identity of Paragon has also not been verified, whether it is an individual wallet or an organization. This transaction is an example of 'tokenized stocks' that enable blockchain trading of traditional stock market assets, with Binance's stock token, Bistocks, recently recording a peak trading volume of $61,230,000,000 (approximately 83,000,000,000 KRW) over the past week, indicating an increase in tokenized stock trading. Standard Chartered has projected that if this trend continues, the decentralized finance market could grow to $2.7 trillion (around 3.75 trillion KRW) by 2030. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether $RDDT is actually linked to the real Reddit stock price. The acquisition size is not considered large compared to bulk purchases or public transactions.
