The Danish government has allocated an additional €10.66 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, raising the total contribution to €78.5 million. These funds will be directed towards restoring damaged facilities and strengthening Ukraine's energy system. Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, thanked Denmark for its financial support, noting that the Kingdom has become the first donor to the Fund, which currently brings together 39 foreign sponsors from 26 countries and 3 international organizations. The Fund was established in the spring of 2022 to counter the effects of Russian attacks on critical energy infrastructure. The Fund's resources are used to finance the urgent needs of Ukrainian energy companies, including equipment, spare parts, and services necessary for restoring infrastructure and ensuring electricity and heating supply.
