ByteDance Restructures Feishu, Product to Doubao, Sales to Volcano Engine
ByteDance has initiated a major restructuring of its ToB business, merging the Feishu product team with the Doubao product team to form a new Doubao product team. Feishu head Xie Xin will now report to Doubao head Zhao Qi. The sales, marketing, and customer service teams of Feishu will be integrated into Volcano Engine, with both parties establishing a new ToB commercialization organization called "Creativity Service Platform," which will be responsible for ByteDance's MaaS, SaaS, and other enterprise services, led by Volcano Engine head Tan Dai. After the restructuring, existing products and services of Feishu will remain unchanged, and the Doubao enterprise version, developed by the Feishu team, is currently in beta testing with some Feishu clients, capable of utilizing Feishu documents, group chats, meetings, and corporate knowledge to continue executing complex tasks. This marks the largest ToB adjustment since ByteDance implemented business segmentation in 2021, with Doubao responsible for enterprise AI products, Feishu providing the office entry and corporate data, and Volcano Engine handling sales and delivery.
