Tencent's researcher in fine-tuning has moved to the WeChat WeLM team, solidifying the development of WeChat's AI agents. Xu Qian, a senior researcher at Tencent, is responsible for the research and development of large language models and has been introduced as a key figure in the fine-tuning direction of the large language model (LLM). Fine-tuning is the stage where large language models are refined for actual service purposes, and WeChat aims to connect AI with app function calls and mini-program operations. Xu Qian is also linked to Microsoft's WizardLM project, and his research includes complex instruction data transformation methods. WeChat's recruitment announcement is seeking personnel for inference optimization and agent research within the WeLM team, focusing on a general Long-Horizon LLM Agent training strategy. The official channel for WeChat developers has stated that AI is in the internal testing phase, and mini-program developers can access the AI ecosystem. WeChat's AI assistant, Xiao Wei, has entered a small-scale testing phase where basic functions can be operated through text or voice conversations. Tencent's WeChat AI team has added results from WeLM-HD4-80B and WeLM-HD4-617B to the Hidden Decoding repository. Currently, WeChat is addressing WeLM, fine-tuning, and agent training strategies together.
