Samsung Biologics and Labor Union Agree on Post-Adjustment Procedure

As the wage and collective agreement negotiations between Samsung Biologics and the labor union have prolonged, they have agreed to proceed with the post-adjustment procedure proposed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Both parties decided to utilize external mediation to resolve differences regarding wage increase rates and performance bonus criteria. On the 14th, Samsung Biologics and the Win-Win Labor Union plan to sign the post-adjustment proposal from the Central Regional Employment and Labor Office under the Ministry of Employment and Labor and submit it to the Incheon Regional Labor Commission. Park Jae-sung, chairman of the Win-Win Labor Union, stated that the company expressed a positive opinion regarding post-adjustment during the 25th round of collective bargaining. The post-adjustment procedure is a process that helps facilitate labor-management agreements even after the labor dispute mediation process has concluded, and it is utilized when issues remain unresolved in existing negotiations. This agreement is significant as it indicates that both parties have chosen to receive additional mediation without halting negotiations. After submitting the documents to the Incheon Regional Labor Commission, the parties will enter the post-adjustment procedure and discuss the remaining issues.
