As a result of a Russian attack, the reserve stock of the logistics partner of the BookChef publishing house, Denka Logistics, was destroyed. The fire that broke out after the strike destroyed over 100,000 books. BookChef lost more than 100,000 books, including all warehouse leftovers and new arrivals recently received from printing houses. The reserve stock was activated after the main warehouse was destroyed, where approximately 800,000 copies had previously burned. Due to the loss of book supplies, the publishing house is reviewing the timelines for fulfilling pre-orders and assessing the scale of losses. New delivery timelines will depend on the launch of other warehouse capacities and the reprinting of some of the destroyed editions. It is worth noting that in July, around 1.5 million books from Ukrainian publishers were destroyed due to Russian shelling. On the night of July 2, 2026, as a result of another Russian attack on Kyiv, the central stock of the Denka Logistics logistics complex was completely destroyed, leading to the loss of most of the finished product supplies.
