Purchase Prices for Pigs from July 27 to August 2, 2026
The forecast for purchase prices of live pigs from July 27 to August 2, 2026, is 70-71 UAH/kg. This forecast is based on an analysis of pork consumption, demand and supply, as well as factors affecting the meat industry. Prices in spring fluctuated between 80-82 UAH/kg, with the weighted average price on April 1 being 80.6 UAH/kg. The level of supply corresponds to current trading activity. On the German exchange VEZG, prices for pig halves are 1.40 euros/kg (71.49 UAH/kg), and for sow halves, they are 0.53 euros/kg (27.06 UAH/kg). On the Polish exchange CennikRolnicze, the average price for live pigs is 4.16 zlotys/kg (49.05 UAH/kg), with a price range of 3.50-4.80 zlotys/kg (41.27-56.60 UAH/kg). Global price dynamics: 1.56 euros/kg in the EU (-3%), 1.14 euros/kg in Brazil (+1%), 1.92 euros/kg in the USA (+3%), 1.34 euros/kg in Canada (+1%). The situation in global markets is ambiguous: positive dynamics in Latin America and Canada, price decreases in the EU.

Global markets delivered mixed signals. Bitcoin and Ethereum strengthened as institutional flows into spot ETFs supported a recovery in crypto risk appetite, while the Robinhood ecosystem and NFT sector also remained active. In technology, NVIDIA continued to weaken ahead of its earnings release, with investors focused on AI returns, customer capital expenditure, and order execution. PDD Holdings saw significant volatility after reporting results, while Applied Optoelectronics came under pressure following its large equity financing announcement. Investors are also awaiting new rate-path signals from the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium.
