Poland Values Ukrainian Contribution to Economy at 2.7%
Ukrainian citizens make a significant contribution to Poland's economy, accounting for 2.7% of GDP growth. In 2024, the employment rate among Ukrainians in the country reached 78%. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Ukrainians not only find refuge but also actively contribute to economic development. As of the end of January 2026, there were officially 757.7 thousand Ukrainian citizens working in Poland, which constitutes nearly 68% of all employed foreigners. The total number of foreign workers exceeded 1.1 million, increasing by 7.1% compared to the previous year. Most Ukrainian workers are employed in logistics, services, manufacturing, construction, and transportation, where there is a constant labor shortage. Analysts note that Ukrainians are increasingly choosing employers who offer social guarantees and opportunities for professional development.
