OpenRouter has launched a new anonymous model, Ox Alpha, designed for coding, long-term agent work, and real production environments. It supports a context of 1 million tokens and accepts text, image, and video inputs. Currently, the model is available for free testing, and the provider will not use users' prompts and outputs to train the model. The identity of Ox Alpha has not been disclosed, but the community widely speculates that it may come from the Xiaomi MiMo team. Xiaomi's CFO Lin Shiwei previously revealed that the next generation of the MiMo model is in training and is expected to be released soon. The anonymous launch of new models on OpenRouter has become a norm for Chinese model manufacturers, with previous models such as Zhiyu GLM-5, Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Pro and MiMo-V2-Omni, Ant Group Ling-2.6-flash, and Meituan LongCat-2.0 all undergoing preliminary testing on OpenRouter before their public identities were revealed.
