Mirae Asset Securities recorded a consolidated net profit of 1.9052 trillion won for the second quarter of 2026. This marks the second consecutive quarter that the net profit has exceeded 1 trillion won, following 1.0019 trillion won in the first quarter. The second quarter revenue was 21.6314 trillion won, with an operating profit of 2.4899 trillion won and a pre-tax profit of 2.5287 trillion won, representing increases of 369.4% year-on-year and 90.2% quarter-on-quarter for net profit. The operating profit exceeded market expectations of 2.0406 trillion won by 22%. The valuation gain from SpaceX was a key factor in boosting the results, with 1.6242 trillion won of the 1.6407 trillion won valuation gain from held assets in the second quarter coming from SpaceX's publicly traded stock. The average acquisition cost was $34. Excluding the SpaceX valuation gain, the consolidated pre-tax profit for the second quarter was 904.4 billion won. Brokerage commission revenue reached a record high of 625.6 billion won, while revenue from financial product sales commissions was 131 billion won. The pre-tax profit of overseas subsidiaries in the second quarter was approximately 609.1 billion won, with an ROE of 24.8%. However, due to the significant proportion of valuation gains and losses, there remains potential for quarterly performance fluctuations. Mirae Asset Securities is also pursuing a digital asset platform business based in Hong Kong.
