The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will conduct training for executives at the level of department head and above to facilitate the transition to artificial intelligence (AI) in the manufacturing sector. The training will take place on the 14th and 18th, with Minister Kim Jeong-kwan also in attendance. This training aims to understand the trends in AI technology and the direction of changes in the manufacturing industry, and to reflect these insights in policies and organizational operations. M.AX is a strategy to innovate production methods and policy implementation systems by applying AI to manufacturing sites. In the first training session, Kim Ji-hyun, Vice President of the SK AI Committee, will give a lecture on "Latest Trends in AI and the Competencies of Leaders," while Professor Choi Jae-sik from KAIST will present on "Implementing National Industrial Strategy through Manufacturing AI." On the 18th, Jeon Byeong-wook, Director of the Korea Automotive Technology Institute, will lecture on "A New Era of Intelligence Opened by Physical AI," and Lee Jae-hyun, Director of the AIX Strategy Office at KAIST, will explain "The Practical Use of Generative AI and Safe Usage Methods." Minister Kim emphasized that executives should understand AX trends and lead the transition of organizations and policies. This training is aimed at strengthening internal capabilities for executives, and the actual application results in manufacturing sites will be confirmed in the future.
