Kalshi plans to fully ban sports figures and political figures from participating in related market transactions

According to Axios, the U.S. prediction market platform Kalshi announced it will upgrade its user access mechanism to proactively prevent athletes, coaches, officials, and other sports-related individuals from participating in trades related to their respective sports. It also prohibits political candidates from trading markets related to their own campaigns. This move aims to address the increasing regulatory pressure regarding insider trading.

Polymarket has also introduced new rules, strictly prohibiting the use of non-public information.
