On July 28, Atsuko Sato, the owner of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu that inspired Doge, clarified in a post that the recently circulated CATE token is in no way associated with her. She stated that her Instagram posts were used without authorization by others, leading to the issuance of a false token that created the illusion of a connection with her. She expressed regret over this and pointed out that some of the accounts spreading related information include users with significant influence on the X platform. Sato emphasized that the only project officially authorized by her and responsible for managing her intellectual property is Own The Doge. This project acquired the Doge NFT in 2021 and launched the DOG token, responsible for organizing Doge Day events, supporting charitable causes, and managing her intellectual property. In 2025, the two parties will launch the COCORO token on the Base network. The proceeds from these projects will be used to care for her pet family members and support animal protection public welfare activities related to Kabosu. She urged the public to rely on official announcements and to be wary of any unauthorized projects or tokens issued in her name, to avoid being misled by unrelated cryptocurrency projects.
