Iran Allows Some Iraqi Tankers to Pass Through the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has decided to grant special permits for some Iraqi tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This decision was made during the visit of Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf to Iraq, where Iraq raised this important request to Tehran. Despite the deteriorating security situation in the Strait of Hormuz due to hostile actions from the United States, Iran has chosen to accommodate this request and allow Iraqi tankers to transit.
