Goldman Sachs' latest report confirms that the storage component costs in the bill of materials (BOM) for Nvidia's next-generation "Vera Rubin" super chip are expected to account for about 62%. The analysis indicates that in the Vera Rubin platform, the cost proportion of the SOCAMM2 memory module on the CPU side is significantly higher than that of the HBM4 high-bandwidth memory on the GPU side. Goldman Sachs previously pointed out that as the demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow, memory is becoming a key component in the cost structure of AI server hardware. This report further highlights the importance of the storage segment in the AI chip supply chain, especially as the demand for high-performance memory for next-generation AI computing platforms is rapidly increasing.
