GasFree has added USDD as a payment method for on-chain transfer fees. Users of USDD can now process fees in USDD when sending it through GasFree, without needing to hold TRON (TRX), energy, or bandwidth in advance. This integration provides a structure that allows users to handle transfer assets and fee resources with a single balance. GasFree operates as a solution for processing TRC-20/ERC-20 transfers, where the service provider receives the user's transfer approval, submits it to the blockchain, pays the gas fees on their behalf, and then charges a certain fee. In traditional TRON-based asset transfers, users had to prepare TRX or network resources separately, and even if their balance was sufficient, transactions could fail if there were no fee resources available. The support for USDD by GasFree aims to streamline this process, allowing users to start USDD transfers while the system deducts the fees in USDD. According to GasFree's official site, users can pay small fees with the tokens they are transferring, potentially reducing costs by up to 60% compared to traditional transfer methods. USDD is a stablecoin linked to the TRON ecosystem, with a circulating supply increase of $221 million in July, bringing the total supply to $1.58 billion and a collateralization rate of 142.98%. This integration is seen as an update that expands usage, with actual usage expected to be confirmed through GasFree's user activity and the range of service provider integrations.
