Etherscan has expanded its wallet address lookup functionality by integrating Web3 identity cards into the address page. Users can now view the ENS names, avatars, Lens profiles, and Farcaster accounts associated with an address all on one screen. A new feature has been added that allows users to check public profile information on the address screen without separate searches through the Web3.bio API. According to Web3.bio statistics, as of the 22nd, there are 31,869,491 identities and 9,931,429 users, with a total of 43,475,730 connections recorded. This service provides universal profiles across Ethereum, ENS, Lens, Farcaster, Solana, SNS, and more, indexing public verification connections and on-chain records to consolidate various identity fragments into a single profile. Etherscan offers contextual information about addresses through metadata such as address labels, reputation, and categories, and the integration of identity cards is an extension of this trend. This makes it easier for users to verify addresses and reduces the likelihood of input errors during the address identification process before making transfers. According to Etherscan's privacy policy, various metadata can be collected, and the Web3.bio integration adds a public identity graph on top of existing address metadata.
