Daishin Securities, Hana Securities, and DB Securities will conduct a demand forecast for public corporate bonds totaling 600 billion won in early September. Daishin Securities will carry out a demand forecast for 1.5 trillion won of 2-year and 3-year bonds on September 1, with the possibility of increasing the issuance size to a maximum of 3 trillion won. Hana Securities plans to recruit 3 trillion won of 2-year and 3-year bonds on September 2, while DB Securities is preparing to recruit 1.5 trillion won of 1.5-year and 3-year bonds. Both Hana Securities and DB Securities are keeping the option open to increase their amounts to a maximum of 5 trillion won and 2 trillion won, respectively. The demand forecast is a process to check the order size and desired interest rates from institutional investors, and if there is sufficient demand, the issuer can increase the amount raised or lower the interest rates. Recent evaluations of the corporate bond market have improved, and the temporary halt of large-scale buying by SK Hynix may act as a variable. The demand forecast for Daishin Securities is scheduled for September 1, while those for Hana Securities and DB Securities are set for September 2, and the results are expected to serve as the first test for gauging the resumption of corporate bond issuance in September.
