Centrifuge has introduced an 'on-chain execution policy' in V3.3 that enforces execution rules predetermined by asset managers at the smart contract stage. This structure only allows pre-approved actions, disclosing the operational scope before funds arrive, and prevents contract execution if transactions exceed defined boundaries. This feature extends from V3.2's 'on-chain portfolio manager', consolidating the processes of moving, exchanging, lending, and providing liquidity for multiple assets into a single workflow. According to Centrifuge's official documentation, this workflow is executed only under a Merkle proof policy approved by the hub manager. Merkle proof is a technology that verifies whether a specific execution command is included in a pre-approved list. A slippage guard that blocks transactions when prices exceed the allowed range and a circuit breaker that halts operations in emergencies are also implemented. This structure limits the discretion of asset managers and strategists to the approved scope, allowing investors and custodians to verify the conditions for fund movement before transactions. According to Centrifuge's 'Tokenization Outlook 2026' survey, 24% of respondents cited programmability as the biggest advantage of on-chain finance. Collaborations for institutional tokenization infrastructure are also ongoing, with Kraken Institutional announcing a partnership with Centrifuge.
