ARCA extends deadline for Income Tax declaration until September 22, 2026
The Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA) has modified the Income Tax calendar, extending the deadline for submitting the tax return for the 2025 fiscal period until September 22, 2026. The decision was formalized through General Resolution 5890/2026, published in the Official Gazette. This extension applies to all taxpayers under the general regime and those using the Simplified Tax Return Regime. The new date replaces the previous deadline of August 27. The extension only affects the submission of the declaration, as the deadline for paying the tax balance expired on July 27, 2026. ARCA justified the extension for 'tax administration reasons' to facilitate compliance. Additionally, the calendar for the 2026 fiscal period was modified, postponing the deadline for the first advance payment until September 24, 2026. There were no changes to the schedule for the Personal Property Tax, maintaining July 27, 2026, as the deadline for submission and payment of the balance. Thus, the new calendar establishes two deadlines in September: the 22nd for the 2025 tax return and the 24th for the first advance of 2026. The resolution was signed by ARCA's executive director, Andrés Edgardo Vázquez.
