In 2026, the win rate for Ethereum DEX trading wallets is 26.29%, indicating that about 3 out of 4 traders experienced losses. According to a report by CoinGecko, the median profit and loss for altcoin wallets is $2016.02, which is significantly larger than the $339.21 for large token wallets. In 2022, altcoin wallets recorded a loss of -$733.03, while large token wallets had a loss of -$222.18. The median profit and loss size for altcoin wallets was 3 to 6.6 times larger than that of large token wallets in 6 out of the 7 years, but this does not imply a higher success rate in trading. The proportion of altcoin wallets decreased from 15.82% in 2021 to 7.22% in 2024, then increased to 10.82% in 2026, but remained lower than the 14.08% in 2020. In 2026, out of a total of 628,326 analyzed wallets, 67,992 were altcoin wallets. The share of DEX trading increased from 6.9% in 2024 to 13.6% in 2026, yet the total realized profit and loss amounted to -$3.3 billion. The report suggests that altcoin trading wallets reflect market trends more significantly.
